Edinboro, PA.

May 16, 17 & 18, 2008

The 2008 Annual General meeting will be held on May 16-18, 2008 in conjunction with the Edinboro Highland Games of Edinboro State University, Edinboro, PA.

Your hosts, CSSA Vice President Kevin Stewart, and his wife, Nancy Stewart, editor of our newsletter, cordially invite CSSA leadership and members alike to come enjoy guest and banquet arrangements at The Riverside Inn, Cambridge Springs, PA. Situated side by side, both small towns of Edinboro and Cambridge Springs are easily accessible from the airfields of Erie (nearest), Pittsburgh or Cleveland. The Riverside Inn features the same quiet and gracious atmosphere as established in 1885 when opening as a resort for those seeking the healing waters of the mineral spring of this area. Although the therapeutic mineral baths and tonics are no longer available, guests enjoy motel amenities while relaxing among authentic Victorian Era furnishings and amusements. Alas, guests only find televisions located in public sitting areas (Bring a travel model for your room if necessary) and for those choosing to not traverse the grand stair to the second floor, first floor guest rooms are available (first come, first serve).

Your hosts have reserved a wing of rooms on the second floor for CSSA reservations. Our banquet, situated in the Fireplace Room, will include the most delicately prepared of foods, as well as the haggis! Visit The Riverside Inn online at www.theriversideinn.com for a first hand look at this beautiful piece of Victorian history. Reservations may be made at 1-800-964-5173. The Riverside looks forward to hosting our event and boasts its own Scottish roots as well.

An area rich in age-old Scottish heritage, comes alive the weekend of May 16-18 with the Edinboro Highland Games held on the campus of Edinboro State College, home of the Fighting Scots. Located a short hop from our AGM location, the community of Edinboro, PA and its University celebrate our own Scottish heritage with a flourish of piping, plaids, and pleasures.
